You
can utilize the Xvest
in your pre-season, in-season and out-of-season conditioning
programs. Baseball is a long season and players need
to stay in top condition. It can also be used for
position specific exercises. Pitchers can use it
in their pitching motion, infielders can use it during
fielding exercises and players can use it in batting
practice, because the Xvest does not restrict range of motion. In
the batting stance, the Xvest will help you develop a quicker first
movement from a loaded static position, with the bat
ready, through swinging forward, to contact with the
ball. In conjunction with the weighted vest, you
can also incorporate resistance bands, attaching to
the D-rings found on the front and the back of the
Xvest, to develop upper body strength and speed.
It
can also be used for a vast numbers of drills, such
as running the bleachers, lunges, step jumps, and
lateral explosion drills, all of which increase the
strength and condition of the lower extremities.
While increasing your strength and conditioning, you
are also working on lung capacity, because of dynamic
respiratory resistance that the vest creates. Also,
at the same time, you are working on your core body
strength through your abdominals and obliques.
